Started in 1990 as a classic computer system house - today a nationally renowned provider of software solutions for expansion, real estate management, property management and forestry.
On August 1, 1990, Torsten Hecht laid the foundations for today’s Com In corporate group in Schwerin.
Back then, it all started as a classic computer system company – today, Com In is an established provider of software solutions for expansion, real estate, store, property as well as forestry management.

Dipl.-Ing Torsten Hecht founded the Com In engineering firm
1991
- Foundation of the Com In GmbH
- Core competences: Projection, installation, and administration of individual networks
- Foundation of Com In GmbH
1993
- Company relocation to Buschstrasse, Schwerin
- Expansion of competences: Development of complex software and database solutions
1994
Use of individual property software in the areas of authorities and corporations
1998
- Company expansion through a new head office on Schusterstrasse, Schwerin
- Expansion of competences: Development of CAFM solutions
- Nationwide deployment of property software
1999
Expansion of the CAFM customer base in the areas of energy suppliers and hospitals
2001
- Launch of the CAFM solution
- Market launch of facility management solutions (e.g., Daimler Chrysler plant in Berlin)
2002
Demerging of the software business areas into Com In GmbH & Co. KG Consulting + Solutions - development of integrated solutions in the areas of expansion, branch, building, property, and forestry management
2003
First deployment of the expansion and store management software com.TRADENET as a standard software
2005
Business award of the ministry of economics awarded by Sparkasse Schwerin and SVZ in the areas of production and innovation
2007
Relocation of the head office to Graf-Schack-Allee, Schwerin
2008
After 5 years of development, another software solution, the DSW2, is first deployed in 3 federal states.
2010
Completion of a new multilingual version of com.TRADENET which can be used around the world
2015
25 years of Com In – with references throughout all of Germany and beyond the country’s borders
2018
- Merging of the software product brands under the shared umbrella brand com.in
- first web applications (pilot projects)
2019
Torsten Hecht is honored as entrepreneur of the year 2019 (Unternehmerverband Norddeutschland Mecklenburg-Schwerin e.V.)
2020
Publication of the software release, version 5.0.0, for the areas of real estate management and land management, as a first milestone (“expansion in the web”) within a multi-stage transformation process into a comprehensive suite (com.in Application Suite).

Launch of the com.in Cloud Services
